Electrical
workers will find this course of value not only on the job but also
in the home and during recreational periods. This course provides:
- Instruction and practice in techniques aimed at minimizing the
consequences of injury accidents.
- Skills will be developed for the recognition and treatment of
common symptoms of distress, i.e. asphyxia, loss of consciousness,
fractures, wounds, etc.
- Safety awareness and accident prevention
As well as receiving
the above mentioned benefits, our members attain a First Aid certificate
from St. John Ambulance - "Standard First Aid with Level A
C.P.R." that is valid for three years. Travel allowance
is available for members who reside over 100 km. from Edmonton or
Calgary. With the support and cooperation of IBEW Job Stewards the
Edmonton Training Centre is able to offer First Aid courses in Fort
McMurray.

- Please Note:
There is a maximum class limit of 16.
- The number of people registered in each class (in brackets) will
be updated approximately twice a week. Check with office staff for exact numbers.
- Weeknight courses take place from 7:00 pm to 10:15 pm.
- Weekend courses run 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Schedule:
First Aid starts Saturday November 14 and ends Sunday November 15, 2009 both days start at 8am and run until 4pm.
First Aid starts Monday December 14 at 7pm and continues Wednesday December 16 at 7pm, Monday December 21 at 7pm and ends Wednesday December 23, 2009.
First Aid starts Saturday January 16 and ends Sunday January 17, 2010 both days start at 8am and run until 4pm.
First Aid starts Saturday February 6 and ends Sunday February 7, 2010 both days start at 8am and run until 4pm.
First Aid starts Tuesday March 16 at 7pm and continues Thursday March 18 at 7pm, Tuesday March 23 at 7pm and ends Thursday March 25, 2010.
First Aid starts Saturday April 17 and ends Sunday April 18, 2010 both days start at 8am and run until 4pm.
First Aid starts Tuesday May 4 at 7pm and continues Thursday May 6 at 7pm, Tuesday May 11 at 7pm and ends Thursday May 13, 2010.
First Aid starts Saturday June 5 and ends Sunday June 6, 2010 both days start at 8am and run until 4pm.
