CSTS is a required course for all members wanting to work on Industrial Sites. You should book ahead at the Training Centre.

This course is available at the Electrical Industry Training Centres of Alberta to IBEW Members (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) only.

C.S.T.S. or Construction Safety Training System is a computer-assisted instruction system with a computer-managed evaluation procedure. The program embraces a thorough range of Industrial Safety and Health concerns. A total of 50 topics are considered in 12 separate modules.

Upon completion of this course, a card will be issued immediately. Please don't wait until your card just about expired before coming in to renew it.

This passport will allow the holder to gain entry to all C.O.A.A. work sites.
Please note: If you took CSTS before January 1, 2004, your certification has expired and you need to recertify before returning to work.

***If you took CSTS on or after January 1, 2004, you are no longer required to recertify every three years. Otherwise come in or make an appointment  at the Edmonton Training Centre. ***

To take CSTS in Edmonton or if you have any questions about your CSTS card or the CSTS course, please phone the Electrical Industry Training Centre office in Edmonton, have your IBEW Membership Number and ask for either Tracy or Chantal.
